At 10.00 am, the publisher Nduka Obiagbena turned himself to the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission at Abuja.
The media mogul apparently is one of those involved in the $2.1 billion arms deal. Mr. Obiagbena allegedly received N500 million during the 2015 presidential election to give provision for the positive coverage of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
The media mogul swore he received the money in behalf of the Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) while denying that the cash came from the Office of the National Security Adviser.
Mr Nduka Obiagbena also incriminated other publishers in the country, which numerous media houses all denied.
