Former Governor of Plateau State Mr. Joshua Dariye wanted in London for money laundering says EFCC

On Tuesday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission told a Federal Capital Territory High court in Gudu, Abuja that Mr. Joshua Dariye the former governor of Plateau State is still wanted for alleged money laundering in the UK.

The EFCC stated that Mr Dariye jumped bail that was granted to him in 2004 and escaped to Nigeria.

In 2015, the former governor represented the Plateau Central in the general elections and was later elected Senator. He's been prosecuted on 23 counts of money laundering of the state's N1.126 billion while he was still the governor.

Mr Joshua Dariye was the Plateau State governor from May 29 1999 to May 2007.
